Summer Treats

Really in the summer it seems as though "Kids in Charge Day" is everyday...:) Today as a treat we went up to have lunch with Papa. Gee, he has a lovely view from the dining area:

 Then, later in the eve we went to the Crest theater in Shoreline for a movie date with our friends, and since we were early we had slurpees at 7 Eleven!

 H had put together quite the outfit for the occasion:

 She and Q both had a great time running down the road to see if Olea was ready for the movie yet, and then running back after she and Rebecca drove by!

The movie was the very first one H ever saw in a theater, and she loved it! Well except for the scary bit with the "Backson" when she mutterd, "Poopey diapers!" under her breath, which is her current swear word phrase. ;) The whole theater was full of kiddos though and they all laughed and clapped together, what a fun scene!

Papa Time at the Beach

What do we love oh so much while we're on vacation? Heaps of time with Papa of course!

 Beach fun, splashing fun, holding hands (H), boat ride (Q), and lots story time too:

 I loved hearing their giggles as he splashed them, something only a Papa would do with that cold water!

 And he could spin and splash them as they shrieked away!

While we were up there Papa even made a new outdoor shower enclosure, what a man!

The Boys at the Castles

The boys visited the castles in Bryn Athyn while they were there and Papa played photographer, yay!

Cape May Time for the Boys

The boys had a lot of fun down in Cape May, here's some beach photo evidence, though we don't have any of Todd in the Atlantic, he was!

Quin's recent comment on the trip, "Remember when we got salt water taffy and cotton candy ice cream with dinosaur sprinkles?" Ah, sweet memories indeed!

The Boys' Adventure!

Todd and Quin had a fun trip back east for a full week and here is what they did:

* Todd took a day trip to see his wonderful professor Dick Peterec is Lewisburg, PA

Back with Gigi, Q got to visit Poppi Vince's work and go out to lunch!
"Poppi Vince let me ride on the forklift!"
That afternoon he got to play with Gigi's neighbor. 

* Took a dip in the cold tub at the Rhodes' home! 

* They enjoyed the wedding festivities for Honore and Mike and Todd especially enjoyed visiting all his pals he so rarely gets to see. 

 * They took a trip to Cape May to see Pop Zack and Grandma Trish and visit the beach of course! Wacky Zackey's are especially good at enjoying the beach when no one else is around on a cloudy day. 

 * They were treated to some tasty meals out with the Zackey's, what a treat for Q! 

* Q got to play with Papa's old toy tanks and read his old military books without Mama around to stop him. 

* They had a fun time running around and exploring the castles back in Bryn Athyn.

 

 * There was also lots of lego play going on, with a few new special new sets bought for the airplane rides = spoiled boys.

* They got lots of Gigi time with tasty meals, movie time, and play time together!

* And best of all they got to spend some good quality time together, what a treat!

Hurray for Honore and Mike!

Todd's good pal Honore was the reason for the big trip back east for Todd and Quin, and the wedding looked lovely! Here are some moments Todd captured:
