Back to School Dress: The FINAL One!

Ok, yowza, I am deciding any other dresses that may appear in Hazel's closet are NOT HERS, really just shirts, or will magically DISAPPEAR (got that dresses?!?). 40 Dresses, one little girl, that is plenty I say (umm...actually sort of embarrassing really)! In fact, some have already made their way to other little girl friends of ours, some I'm hoarding for when my brother has a cute little girl of his own, and some will hold their place in H's closet, since I know they'll probably still fit for some time. So here we go, number 40, perfect for back to school if I do say so myself!

She didn't exactly go "back to school" today, but she did participate in a little study (on cause and effect if you're curious) at the UW today, so close enough.

Well, since I just don't know quite when to call it quits, I'm going to make one or perhaps more. Because, in reality this was just one big excuse to take pictures of my little girl everyday for weeks on end. I loved the excuse, and the fun we had doing it. Might just have to make a collage of all of her funny faces too! So, just bare with me 'k? ;)

Snow Bunny Dress

Might as well go with the flow here. She actually got her first dress a little wet this afternoon and wanted to try out this one! (I've strategically been putting the already pictured ones up on the top hanger out of reach, tricky me.)

Happy New Years Dress

Hee, hee. Hey if they can have "Christmas in July" why not "New Year's in August"!? So, H is testing out this cooler weather dress, though it's actually a pleasantly sunny day. This one will be perfect for the holidays, but with dress fest winding down, we had to model it now!

Tea Party Dress

We went out for tea this morn with the Roberts (as a mini birthday treat for Chrissy and I) and so H had to get dressed up!

The best part was she miraculously didn't get hot cocoa all over it!

Ok, this is when I remind you all that I have a TERRIBLE memory, which is part of the reason I take vast amounts of pictures and write this blog. I'd actually sort of forgotten that this hasn't been the first time I've documented H in a clothing set, uh, the whole "onesie project"! So, this dress was one from our friends Megan and Gracie, and I documented H wearing it at age 5 months:

So, I know, you thought, ah phew Erin is finally done with this silly parading of her daughter's dresses, hurray! Ha, fooled you, after a bit of a break for camping (backpacking in the rain, and dress wearing not so conducive), we're back! Here we go:

Dress Days: Beach Style 17-24

I took all new dresses to the beach on our trip, so we kept playing with some of her play dresses. The day before we left we went berry picking for raspberries. Though the camera didn't work on that trip, I did get a pic of H before we left in her cherry dress, cause we didn't have a raspberry dress:

On her birthday she wore her party dress (Gigi got his special one at the Edmonds Arts Festival and it's reversible!). She was so proud to show she's 2 in her own way!

I ought to say by now that I have purchased VERY few of Hazel's massive collection of dresses (2 I think from Costco), most have come via Q's pals Olea and Mary, and the oh so generous and clothes shopping maven Gigi. Many of these have been fitting her for quite some time and some I imagine will still be in the repertoire next summer as well. So that said, here are the recent ones, ahh...

I can't have her smiling in all of them I suppose story with this one, which is a Mary item, was after she wore it briefly she got pee on it (result of beginning potty training...) and she got to wear shorts instead!

She was dressed and ready to head off to Vashon early (aka before breakfast) that day wearing her beloved horsie attire.

 This will be the goofiest I dress her, I swear, but her coordinating pants were dirty and she insisted on wearing the dress cause we were on Vashon for Strawberry Festival after all! In fact, I skipped a day cause her Strawberry attire day 1 was gasp a skirt/shirt combo!

No really, it's getting harder and harder for me to get a picture of her not making her super cheese face so this was post hiding.

The story: we have ADORED this Gigi dress, which is now looking less like a dress I see. She was answering my question of how old she is? Her answer these days might be "almost 2", but more likely is "8", or "4 and a half", or apparently 10 as well.

The break from the sunny weather day. We didn't mind a bit, we played trains in our rearranged playroom in the am, and by the pm it was sunny again!
