Early Easter

The Zackey's really love holidays you know, and we like to practice early. We got out the Easter box, the baskets, the eggs, the bunnies, the books, etc. and the kids have been loving them. So while Josie was over on Friday we hunted for snacks outside in our new backyard:Q has also been really into the whole decorating the eggs bit:
I wasn't ready to do dying quite yet, but he was fine with coloring all over this batch.
Oh, and I have to mention my kids are currently obsessed with eating eggs. They love them scrambled, fried, in french toast, as eggs with a hat on top, hard boiled (well Q at least), you name it, they probably would go for it, so send those extra eggs our way!;)
So, a big part of Easter is dressing up right? Gigi is in town just in time! She came bearing heaps of adorable items for H, Q already is set, and so H is practicing with this daisy play dress:
Then, Saturday Q had a real practice with the egg hunt at PCC:
It was eggstra fun! Plus being PCC they got fun prizes and tickets for juice, odwalla bars, cookies and such instead of just candy. Oh boy, now we're ready for next weekend!

Blue Tub

The kids finally got to take a bath in our new home for the first time tonight! What with the plumbing work and then tiling work and grout drying etc. it's been a long time coming. So, they thoroughly enjoyed it:I know, I know he's skinny, but really he eats all the time I swear
water spitting fun!
look at how long that hair is getting!

Home Sweet Home

It was move in day for real today! It was SUCH a gorgeous day, almost a shame to spend moving, but still very uplifting. So, we worked our tails off, still are actually.Q and I made this weeks ago, but today was the big day to put it up!
It's covered with trees like the ones in the yard, fish for the fish we will get, flowers like in the garden, happy sunshine, waves for the beach that we love nearby, and more as described by Q
Looking forward to sharing the "corners of our home" with you soon.

My Buff Husband

Somehow got these boxes inside, and upstairs:Yeah we got a new and quite big captain's bed
To continue with the fun of moving posts, the kids and I had fun packing up some of our books today:
And then unwrapped those big heavy boxes, and used them as a slide on the stairs:
It was a fun challenge to get back up the stairs:
Q liked jumping on my back and making the slide extra fast!

Celebrating St. Pat.

Oh we had a fun St. Patty's Day this year! We had fun at Thea's this past Saturday, a wee bit of fun in fact. Then today, the kids were surprised to find "Leroy" the Leprachaun snuck in while they were sleeping to leave them a bit of "gold" hidden in their rooms. She insisted on sampling the gold immediately of course
After that, we had green waffles with green syrup on top, green eggs (oh that reminds me I never wrote about our Dr. Seuss' birthday day!) and of course green milk to go with.
Yo!
My holiday loving kids were happy as ever! Then off to preschool for Q, where he did some more fun St. Patty's Day activities like painting a giant shamrock, and a little green pancake baking of his own. This afternoon we made a big ole' chalk rainbow together.
And this evening we had a tasty hearty Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage, with some especially yummy fingerling potatoes I might add. Plus some green rice crispy treats Q and I made for dessert. It was a fun and very green day!
