Q's first concert

Quin's kindergarten class put on there first music concert tonight. It was pretty sweet, though as you can tell Q was pretty nervous, but he loved the cupcake party afterwards!

Beach time with Gigi

We had to get out and enjoy the sunshine at the beach while Gigi was here!

Uncle Justin Time

Uncle Justin is up for a visit. The kids are LOVING it!

Here they are giving him hugs, and leg hugs, controlling his arms during dinner, and reading with him. They spent the night at Gigi's last night to give Mama and Papa a little time off, we'll see how that went...

Yoda and a Hugs Valentine Cards

I decided to make the kids Valentines this year similar to the card Q gave last years' card, the ever popular lollipop card. So, Q dressed up as Yoda for his photo and then later we attached "light sabers" aka glow sticks, and after H's pink photo shoot we added a chocolate hug in her hand. 

The photo session for Q was so easy!

 For H is was a bit more tricky and thus I had WAY more outtakes. I ended up using one for her classmates and making separate ones for each of her teachers.

We got lots of complements and it was so fun to do together!

Husband Unsupervised

That's what Gigi suggested I title this post. I came home this afternoon to this:

 

Just cause my little guy is 6! now doesn't mean he needs to go off and get his hair cut military style and into a mo hawk with blue hair gel!!! 

Well, it looks a little better washed and flat, not nearly as noticeable. 

I guess Q asked for it, though I'm still not sure why Papa Todd didn't ask me...
It will grow, and we'll laugh at these pictures in the future for sure!

Happy Birthday Jedi Quin!

Quin, being the Star Wars enthusiast he is, decided upon a Star Wars Lego themed birthday ages ago. I had a lot of fun gathering ideas on Pinterest and having the party here at our house. Q woke up to some pretty funny decorations/party games all over our house, including these droids Papa made for him:

We had a nice morning together, eating a slow breakfast of the bday boy's choosing, and Q opening and having time to play with gifts, etc.

The party was in the afternoon, which gave me plenty of time to set up, thank goodness!

Once the party got going I (Princess Leia) led the kiddos in some games, including an obstacle course to earn their Jedi robe, a SW ball/beanbag toss, "Pass the detonator", lego building station, plus there was plenty of light saber play (Todd was the instant bad guy/Vader character! ;)):

There was also SW story time with Papa Todd, SW themed food eating, disco ball action, sparkler hoth cake (oops a little scary for bday boy!), and gift opening:

 

The Jedi even gave me a force pose:

 

It was a really fun party!

After some down time, we went down to Hamburger Harry's for some of Q's favorite food with Gigi, Nami and Danpa:
