Plane Travel, Part 2
When we arrived at the airport Hazel had already had a quick nap, so she was ready to go, and of course Q was as excited as ever to go on the first airplane ride he could remember. So, after a quick security check (thank you family line!), they were all pointers watching the airplanes go by:
Hazel was so excited she was shaking:
We waited until the last second to get on the plane and then we were busy reading, drawing, playing, snacking, watching, and generally being the most focused on our kids that we have ever been for such a good stretch of time. Here's a brief moment Papa got to chill:
Hazel did a fun walk down the aisle making many passengers smile and chit chat, and then she nursed right to sleep at the end of the flight, taking a good 1 1/2 or 2 hour nap:
So, it went quite well I have to say. I'm thinking of making a mini movie on some of the toy ideas I want to share, so stay tuned for that!
Flying Queen
Hazel's first ever flight was AWESOME! It may have been the timing, the wonderful toys (many ideas from delicious baby blog), having the whole last row of the plane, the great fellow passengers, or who knows, but I'm not even going to question it, I'm SO elated! So, I'm going to write an entire post with all my clever flying with kids ideas later this week, but for now, check out this picture fellow passenger Tom took:
They were taking her pictures for goodness sake!
Oh and Quin did pretty darn well himself, but that I can thank Chrissy for that cause he watched a lot of movies on her DVD player!!

And We're Off...
....to Philly!
We leave in the morn, and oh what a week it's been getting ready for not only this trip, but also getting the house ready to be put on the market! So, I'll get the chance to blog while we're there I'm sure, and hopefully post about the listing that will be appearing while we're away. Woah, what a busy time for us.

Livin' It Up in Edmonds!
We have been making the very most of our time here in Edmonds, and today it was amazing how much was going on in this little town.
The kids and I walked downtown and visited the beautiful and yummy Saturday Market:
Of course we had to check out the old fire truck on display:
Then ran into Gabe and Mark, and met them down at the sandbox (at Anthony's) a little later:
We also checked out the incredible Lady Washington, which was docked in Edmonds for the weekend:

The kids were more impressed by the cannon and ropes than by the fact that this ship was in the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean!
Then, on our walk back up the hill we stopped into the Bird Festival:
We had a fun time making bird feeders, playing the migration game, learning some interesting facts and having other such birdy fun.
Quin watched the raptor show for the full hour, not a peep. Hazel was getting ready for her nap so she was all full of "hi''s for each bird and her own sort of squawking. ;) So, needless to say she passed out on the long walk back up the hill, and Quin was ready for a nice long quiet time. What a wonderful day in Edmonds!
