We couldn't resist the draw of baby animals to see on Vashon, so we went on over on Saturday for a visit. We got to visit Nami and Danpa first + the horsies, and then some Sander ducklings,
The kids also had a great time trying out Ella's new tractor, thanks for sharing Ella!
We had a little picnic by the pond and Anna even sent us home with some tadpoles, thanks for a fun visit Sander family!
Then, while H napped away,
I can never resist a good sleepy baby picture
Q and Jamie got to play.
a little bit of drums, "it's a duck and chick concert"!
Plus there was A LOT of digging in the dirt, sliding in the dirt, throwing of dirt chunks, and exposing of big fat worms for the ducklings,
And when H woke we got to play with Jamie's toys and gorge on popcorn.
Thanks for a fun time too Olive family!
Following our playtime we changed and headed down to Lisabeula to meet up with Sarah for our photo session. Of course the bits of sun and milder weather we heading out by this time and we were met with wind and cold, which aren't super conducive to good photo sessions with small children. Sarah was great though and did her best and I'm sure she took a gazillion great photos, which I will share with you at some point. Q was especially camera happy (though he had a mustache from licking his lips cause of his cold, so don't know how that will work out...), and he was really hamming it up for Sarah. H on the other hand was a cold cling monkey. So, we headed back up the hill to Nami and Danpa's and finished up there.Sarah and I even got to talk! Hey pssst, she's planning on starting a Spanish immersion preschool on the island, pass it on.
We rounded off our island time with a big spaghetti dinner, yum. It's always fun to have a day filled with baby animals, fun people and lots of playtime!
