After the Air and Space Museum we wandered back to the hotel, picking up a simple dinner to have in the room. On the way,we posed with a few of the sites of the city:
After dinner we went for a stroll to the White House.
Right when we were there the fence was open, and there was talk that the first family was on the lawn (at least the girls I'm pretty sure) playing with their dog. Then the guards barked at us to clear the fence and we went to the other side of the street. From which we had a nice evening view of the Washington Monument:

Then we got the kids their much promised ice cream bars and ate them at a nearby park:
It was a site seeing full day!
