Hobuck Camping

We had a fantastic time camping this summer at Hobuck, in Neah Bay. The campground is right next to an awesome beach, the weather turned out excellent, and the company was lovely. We arrived Friday afternoon, took the day Saturday to spend at Shi Shi, and made a trip to Cape Flattery on Sunday. It was a busy and fun long weekend. Here are some photo memories from our time at Hobuck:
Beach Fun:
 Campground Fun:
(I somehow missed taking a photo of our behemoth tent...)
Our hike to Shi Shi:
Beach time when we first arrived:
Morning clouds did not allude our children, they still demanded bathing suits, and fortunately we had lots of layers for afterwards.
We eventually caught up with the rest of the crew on the way out to the Point of Arches. We had to see the impressive crab art out there, and our walk back was exciting too. A couple of photographers had caught a peregrine falcon (I believe) in the act of catching and eating a seagull. We had to stop and watch as well. H and Q were also playing a funny game of gathering dry crab shells to put under our feet to crunch, there were heaps there this year!
We had some nice lounging time at Jeff and April's camp in the sun, as it had really come out by the afternoon.

Zackey's at Shi Shi:
The kids even did a pretty good job hiking out after a FULL day of beach running and play. Those skittle fairies sure helped us out! We got back to camp in time for dinner and a lovely sunset.
The whole group at Hobuck:
Yep, that's the Zackey fam and a whole lot of Tuckers!
We are absolutely going to Hobuck again next year, we loved it!
