The Ultimate Day

Wow, was it a doozy that "ultimate day" this past Sunday! It started out like this:
a beautiful blanket of snow to enjoy and explore:
After exploring and eating the snow we came in and had heaping bowls of "openmeal" before getting ready for Mary's party.
We trekked up to Lynnwood in the wintery weather to go to Pump it Up:
This was a blast! I loved the slide, Papa and Quin got a real workout: and Hazel even played a little air hockey:Then while we were enjoying "Happy Birthday" and cupcakes and snacks Hazel fell right asleep:
Quin on the other hand must have been too jazzed about our next adventure, the Santa Train ride, cause he decided (though exhausted) to NOT take a nap on the way up to North Bend, arrrgggghhh!
So we stopped at the toy store:
Then, we headed for the train. After waiting in the frigid cold we boarded the train, oh boy!
It took us to the Snoqualmie depot where we happily munched on cookies and hot cups of cocoa:
And got to see Santa!
This was the first year Quin wasn't worried about Santa, he got on his lap and told him he wanted "diggers" for Christmas. Hazel having just woken up from another nap was curious and cozy on Santa's lap, and I think she liked his soft fur coat. I tried my best to take lots of pics, we got our cute little wooden train from Santa and we were off.
To top off our full day we decided to eat at the nearby diner for dinner. Quin, having not napped, laid down on the bench while eating, and just about passed out. Instead, he finally did on the way home, along with Hazel, so thankfully once we were home Papa and I could relax after an incredible ultimate day!
