In Our Backyard

One of the bonuses of our new home, ok probably the biggest, is our backyard. Coming from our old tiny home that had a pretty giant backyard for a city home, we didn't expect to get another great backyard, but here we really did. It has been so well taken care of and has wonderful large trees and plantings all around. So, it's easy for the kids to wander back in the trees and explore. Here they are uncovering dozens of different types of insects (from sow bugs to centipedes!) in this rotting stump.
Q needed to study them more closely in his bug collection kit before freeing them again. I'm so thankful we had this "playground" right here!
