"Birdhouse"

My friend Chrissy lovingly refers to her home at the "treehouse". So, I've decided that our new home is the "birdhouse". We have such nice big trees around our home that we've had frequent sightings of bird life this spring. I'm still working on my identification, but we've certainly had robins, stellar jays and notably this fellow:sorry for the distance I didn't want to scare them off by opening the door. He's a band tailed pigeon and sounds very owl like. He really is not an ordinary pigeon looking guy, so it's fun to watch him. Now we just have to work on scaring him away...
